Your FTP Path:

Depending on which hosting package you are subscribed to your path may vary.

If you are subscribed to the $0 Hosting plan your path will look like ‘/’ (without the quotations)

If you are subscribed to the Ultra or Unlimited Hosting plan your path will look like ‘/var/www/html’ (without the quotations). You can get to this path by clicking on the “mainwebsite_html” shortcut link when you first login to the FTP server.

To transfer files from your local computer to the server.

    1. Locate the files you want to transfer in the left pane (local computer)
    1. To transfer files to the server double-click each file/folder in your “Local Site” window, or select all files/folders you want to transfer and drag them with your mouse to the “Remote Site” folder (make sure you don’t select the icon for moving one directory up though!). You can select multiple files or folders by holding down the Control (Ctrl) key on your keyboard.
    1. Once you have all the files selected drag the files to the right window (Remote Site) and release the button, this will copy all the files you have just selected to the server.

How to chmod using LeapFTP client?

    1. Once all files are uploaded it is time to set correct file permissions, in other words to CHMOD files.
For example, the readme instructions say this file “config.php” should be CHMOD-ed to 644.
    2. To do that just right-click on the “config.php” file (the one on the server, not your computer!) and select “Chmod” from the menu.
