AliTalk 1.9.1.1

Would you like to add a chat system similar to MSN or Yahoo chat to your website for free? AliTalk is a full featured web based messenger system written using PHP and Ajax. You can add instant messaging to your website in minutes. The script can integrate with other scripts such as PHPBB, Simple Machines Forums and Joomla.

AliTalk 1.9.1.1 Tutorial:


    1. Download the current zip file from the AliTalk Official Website here AliTalk Official Website.
    1. Uncompress the zip file using WinZip or WinRAR to a temporary directory in your local computer.
    1. You can create a folder called “chat” in the “/var/www/html/” directory. Then you can upload the AliTalk 1.9.1.1 files to the web server using a FTP client. For FTP upload instructions, please click here.

      For this example, AliTalk 1.9.1.1 will be uploaded to /var/www/html/chat/ directory and the website address will be http://www.yourdomain.com/chat/

      Run the install script on your server (by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/chat/install/ with your web browser) and click NEXT STEP.

    1. Read the license and agree to the Terms and Conditions and click AGREE

    1. Click NEXT STEP on the Requirements Check screen

    1. Fill in the necessary information in the following fields (For this step, we are assuming that you have already created and set up your MySQL database. If you have not done this yet, please click here to see the MySQL creation tutorial.)

      Hostname : 127.0.0.1

      Username : your Doteasy.com Member ID

      Password : your MySQL database password

      MySQL database : yourdomain_com_-_db

      Table Prefix: alitalk_

      Click Next STEP to continue.

    1. Click NEXT STEP after the tables have been created.

    1. Enter the chat configuration. Click Next.

    1. Installation Complete! Please remember to use the FTP client to log back in your server and remove the /install directory from your AliTalk directory.

    1. Congradulations! The script is now installed.
      Visit http://www.yourdomain.com/chat/
      Visit http://www.yourdomain.com/chat/admin/ to see the administrative area
